Problem is that there is nothing Russia can disintegrate to. I.e. there are no known "blocks" that would go their own way. Even Chechnya is not in the play. I.e. geographically Russia is very stable - no internal strong struggle is apparent. Russia is far more stable then US.

If they give Ukraine F-16s and other stuff it will certainly end with nukes. Even giving Ukraine 300km missiles will be a clear indication that nukes use by Russia will be justified. Just to cut the constant supply problem.
15
um, Azov runs Mr. Z.

Why so few pp go fight for the Nazi? Why millions left Ukraine? Why so many young men in Canada and Europe form Ukraine? Why not go fight for Ukraine?

China is not ready for a full blown war. But it is clear to everyone that war is necessary. US made sure to drive that point home.
3
@brianwesley28 Sure, but how are you planning to do that exactly? Preventing it from exporting chips for example, naval blockade? But that is WAR. How to prevent them from getting weapons from US? Again, blockade? Sanctions? Sure, but you certainly cannot sanction US weapon sales. What about chips - not sure you can sanctions much of that production line. Other sanctions? Sure, but will they really make a huge difference - on Taiwan only? This is not as easy as you make it seem.
2
@brianwesley28 Well, certainly Taiwan would see it as war and would intervene with its navy and air-force. It would be interesting to see what US would do. It certainly would throw whole world economy into deep recession. US could threaten intervention - and certainly would try to sanction China - it would be dangerous gamble to play. Imagine US breaking the blockade by simply sending ship through it - would China fire on them?
2
But how? After the end of the war Ukraine probably will not have a single port!
2
Well, obviously they would be legal targets to engage and would not trigger article 4 or 5. I am unsure as to what these systems would exactly help with, Ukraine is dealing with 1000s of drones and cruise missiles that fly low.
2
Sure, but I bet by spring not much will happen.

Eventually Russia will have problems meeting economic pressure - i.e. they cannot make as many guns as the west. So to equalize one solution is to use nukes and melt billions worth of aid. It is not hard for US to force that outcome.
1
@gti500 They do not seem to have tactical deployment right now. Or at least no one knows about it. But on strategic level they do not seem to have a lot of LSDs and similar craft for large scale landing. The seem to need 5 to 10 years. But then again. in 5-10 years Taiwan may be much stronger.

This is not the only channel that is punished like this - all channels that are even hint pro Russia are taken offline.

Eventually west will push Russia into a corner from which it will get out using nukes. Then the west will act all surprised. Ukraine will be totally devastated and maybe then people will understand Zielinski was just a stupid comic lead by his Nazi oriented backers.
1
@cherylderue336 Maybe - but if war continues it certainly will be taken by Russia. There does not seem to be any apatite in Ukraine for peace so Russia will continue the war till what is left, if any, of Ukrainian state cannot continue. Taking Odessa would ensure that Ukraine has no economic viability and thus its no longer a threat.
1
@cherylderue336 Nah, You do not need to do amphibious assault - its not an island - just walk over. We are not talking far - its like just over 100km from current front line. Ukraine will not be a threat once it is neutered. It is currently far lesser threat then it used to be. Remove access to black sea, remove few large cities and what is left, country of less then 20m without any economic prospects, no future? Russia more or less has taken Donbass already. There is talk what is next. Either Odessa or Kharkiv. Russia won the war - now the question is - where new borders will be - or if there will even be borders.
1
@cherylderue336 Well, they are fighting in Bahmut, they have a major break through near Piesky and have taken multiple villages down in the south. One has to remember that with Lysychansk it was months of fighting before a total collapse of the front that took like a week. Same thing here. I expect that in a month we will see them taking Sloviansk or at least fighting in it and middle of Donbass will also be taken. I.e. essentially operation will be over.
1
@cherylderue336 I think it has been zero for a while - last report was like 6 people there. Some sources claim that village has been taken - if true its huge. This means Russians crossed main defense line in Donbass. If they take Adivka in the next few days this will be bigger then Lisichinsk.
1
@cherylderue336 Oh why no answer? They will most certainly take it unless Ukraine signs some deal. Patience.
1
@cherylderue336 And so did Lisichiansk - it was on a hill. Fell in few days. DAYS. Same thing will happen now and is happening. Once they take key positions the front line will collapse. Just watch and see.
1
@cherylderue336 i am quite sure they will, we see by this weekend where they are. If they take adivka then by September Donbass will be taken.

Polish government is becoming more and more delusional which will cause a major crash. Imagine US did use precision weapons to strike Russian tactical nukes - it would be totally unprovoked act, an act of war, an act against nuclear weapons, not to mention possible pollution caused. Russia would have total right to defend itself, either striking back with just conventional weapons or if the attack was massive with nukes. It would also paint US and NATO as party to the conflict & their entry into a war - nuke use is now guaranteed. With nukes at play any NATO victory is out of the question. Once box is opened with nukes it would be hard to close and escalation could lead to MAD - with US as main cause.
1
This is what is called epic stupidity. Latvia and all Baltics are right next to Russia. They cannot "leave" and always will be there. They are tiny. Russia is big. They just made sure they will not have any relations for a very long time & their economy will not be very competitive. Also what do they expect - Russia to give them gas for free?
1
He was not a nice guy. Equivalent in history would be someone like Goebbels.
1
Well, there is a question of when will Russia move onto Odessa. So far its a mystery. Kharkiv operation is over winter. Donbass liberation is till end of summer. The mine counter measure ships are all nice and all but clearly not needed - Ukraine did manage to find a way for grain ships to travel through its own mine fields. Finally how are you going to move such ships? Overland from Poland in pieces? Seems like waste of $$$.
1
Many books are written about Ukrainian Nazi. And compared to them, Germans were civilized Nazi.
1
Why would US strike Russia when Russia uses tactical nukes in Ukraine? Why would it be suicidal? Certainly such use would be condemned but I fail to see any suicide in it. What would NATO do - nuke Russia??? Really?
