  2. Su-57 does not need to be in contested air space - a lot of kills by the RUAF was with BVR from their own air space.

  5. Su-57 will use its superior radar and longer range missiles to lock onto F-16. Same as Su-35. Russia unified network will be at work here. The aircraft may or may not be actual detection platform. Mostly missile truck. Once F-16 is detected the missiles are fired in pairs. Chances of win by Su-57 / Su-35 vs. F-16 are at least 10:1 if not more. Basically F-16 will never even know enemy is somewhere out there. Same as with Ukrainian MiG-29s. Main advantage of MiG-29 vs. F-16 in Ukraine is that you can far more easily hide MiG-29 than F-16. F-16s are sent as no more MiGs are available and they are cheap.
