  1. Note that Soviets copy of Sidewinder was called AA-2. So what was AA-1? Well it was K-5 (Soviet name) and was made starting in 1951. It was similar to Falcon but independently developed. So if not for Sidewinder tech in Soviet Union was at the same level as in the US at the same time. Sidewinder was just so good that neither any friend nor enemy had anything better.
