  1. Essentially with the help of CIA the protesters in HK forced hand in China to crack down - after over a year of protests and declining HK economy something had to be done. China repaid US with hidden sponsorship of BLM movement. It was amazing to me that for decades HK and China did not have any extradition treaty at all - certainly giving HK freedom to either extradite or not would be OK, no? Police in HK is based on and frequently run by the British - we cannot say they are "totalitarian".
