@Viewable11 Well, not really - we are talking about something like 20k troops. Its not like 1 or 2 or 3 trucks. Its 100s of trucks. Per day! This would not only be slow, not only would use massive amounts of fuel but also would not be that safe due to getting stuck & drones could ID traffic jams of these slow trucks. I bet some stuff is moved with MT-LB tracked. But then again, this is not enough. Russians could not supply around 12,000 troops via single road through Chernobyl that was NOT under artillery fire. And was paved. Oh and if you needed say 500 trucks before, now you need like 1500 trucks.

But they no longer can get out. They will loose massive # of troops. It will be few times worse then Mariupol.

@brucealbert4686 They are exactly Volksturm. Even weapon systems they have are the same (!)

A Russian told me, you eat some meat, you encounter a bone. What do you do? You spit it out. So they encountered a bone, and they spit it out. There was no pride other then stupidity trying to chew the bone.

One road is already cut - Russians are in Soledar (not fully taken) and a bit beyond it. The other road has lots of issues. Probably will be physically cut in a day or two.
6
They have some poorly trained and armed national guard - but not a lot at all. Basically they have no worthy reserves at all. This is why loosing 20k is ... worse then bad.

@nirad8026 Lots of places. He is all correct. Except the 500 - I also cannot confirm that.
2
12:08 Russians already bypassed parts of Soledar & fight is in that city + Russians are about 1 mile past the road.
2
@thorn6809 Ukraine tanks men UNDER (and at I presume) 60 and 18 and over. There are no Russians equipped with sniper rifles from 1940s. These were their Ukrainian allies ;) You don't really know who is fighting in this war, do you?
2
But there is no big city to get the stuck. Sloviansk is the biggest left (and Kremators) but they are not large, just touch bigger then Izium, 100k cities.
2
Yep, and idiot Z send few BTGs of light infantry so they can also surrender. What a moron. And there are plans to send even more territorials there (!!!)
1
Yeah, and this is why you know Ukraine is lead by an idiot. More reinforcements == more troops to surrender later.
1
To few troops and too spread out artillery. The pincer through chernobyl only had 1 road AND troops committed were about same size as Police force in Kiev. It would have worked if there was minimal or no resistance. But there was moderate resistance - so no go.

Florida!

Poles are cheering for Ukraine, but say situation is hopeless.
1
Kharkiv was just a diversion - Ukrainian attack there was a PR stunt.
1
Yes, Z and his Nazi handlers are too stupid to see that. I remember people praising how young leadership of Ukraine is - well - now they see results of having sub 40 year old's in charge. Not even that - Ukraine has no troops to spare. Loosing 20k top of the line troops is catastrophic. I.e. they loose troops and have no defense lines. Russia will now go for the kill.
1
Well, loosing a major battle is a turning point. Ukraine cannot afford to loose 20k of their troops - their best troops. And fortifications at the same time.
1
Not just Popasna - they are going to Bahmut from the south - they even crossed the river!! Ukrainian troops actually run away! Ukrainians cannot withdraw now - main road is cut and another road, that connects to a dirt road that may be used by small groups is about 8km or less away from Russian lines - probably cut tomorrow or under fire control by then.
1
13:31 - sure they left in order not to be encircled - but why did they left the bridge and not even defend it ???? Russians crossed onto the other side (!!!) So they did not retreat - they run away.
1
Even Polish channels are reporting this - its hard to be pro Ukraine but not see it run over.
