BTW, the 77 per KIA is very, very good - I came up with a number of "up to 100 shells" so 77 is very close. I counted shelling of UA positions by Russian artillery & results. This is why I figured it may be a good idea to use Krasnopol as it may be cheaper to use 1 Krasnopol to KIA one UA vs. 100 rounds. Economy of war is bloody.

@Kevlar_soul Ummn if you do the same calculation for Ukraine you are not even close to 30KIA - Ukraine fires around 3000 shells per day on average, or between 2000 - 4000 per day. Also the ratio even for Russian Donetsk militia for wounded is 5 to 1. Same for Ukraine. And certainly higher for Russia - maybe 7 to 1. People can be wounded multiple times. Numbers also needs to be adjusted since Russian troops are heavy and thus they have better protection - so UA numbers for Russian dead may be more like 100 shells needed to kill one, or more. Russians also fire on known targets, come on, no one fires for "fun". Besides, we know exact numbers of Russian dead - its just over 10,000 and we know quite well the number of allies killed, at over 6000. The main issue is calculating Ukrainian losses which we know are 4x higher at lower bound and up to 6x - but that is very broad with moderate confidence.

@bullshitdepartment Well, we know the minimums as per this video - which are quite solid - especially the grave counting. If Russian dead with allies were 35k that would mean UA dead would greatly exceed 100k, like you said, 135-150k. Maybe you are right - we do see UA do not have enough troops now and cannot cover the front. That would only be the case with massive losses.

US also used extensively "anyone is an enemy" idea - thus women and children were counted as enemy military personnel.

Given well over 100k KIA I estimate UA casualties at over half a million with maybe over 150k of these able to return to battle. At current rate of casualties Ukraine will run out of troops in 4 to 5 years even with use of women. They may last a year longer with use of children and elderly. As for the 3 to 1 --> that is when both sides have same firepower, not 10 to 1 advantage like Russians have.
