  2. There is no need for Russia to increase payments. Even if they recruit just 200k in 2025 that is enough. You are forgetting that Ukraine is out of people. The only way they can get 200k or so is by going to 18 year olds. Unless Russia wants to continue war after Ukraine is over there is no need for so many troops. Even if Ukraine could recruit double the numbers of Russia it would not make a difference as the quality of bussified troops is super low.
