Ukraine is already being pushed back and retreating. They gambled and lost.

@bernardfinucane2061 well it's per live map UA. So is the Ukrainian MOD also doing the Kremlin line?!

This happened in Poland in 1939. Germany had too many mechanized units, enough to outrun Poles marching at night. By the time the river was reached, advance German units were already there.

@waynesworldofsci-tech bigger problem was hot summer. The forts were there because it was a swamp. Well not that September. Also shows the value of fortifications. Poland should have ignored the allies and called mobilization weeks before as well as built as many trenches and tank ditches as possible. A lot of bunkers were not ready at all but still offered stiff resistance. Some still had fresh concrete not dry yet but held for a few days. Not that it would lead anywhere, Poland could not win with Germany and there was little to persuade the Soviets to refrain from the back stab.

There was nothing of importance there to defend. Never interrupt the enemy when making a mistake. Putin played well and won. Ukraine lost massive amounts of equipment and now is retreating.... For what I ask??? PR?!

@krisfrederick5001 well, Ukraine crossed Russian red line and look at it now. In 2019 interview the presidential advisor knew that Russia would not let it slide. They even predicted up to 3 wars with Russia over a dozen years. Oh how wrong they were. Russia has proven far and wide more powerful than expected.

@PhysicsGamer LOL, dude you are clueless. Ukraine before the war was strongest military (ground force) in entirely in Europe. Mexico cannot even defeat local gangs. Ukraine air defense network was almost as big as rest of Europe COMBINED. And roughly half that of US. With aid Ukraine air defense power not counting losses is roughly that of US! With aid the number of tanks not counting losses is that of US. With aid the artillery systems count is roughly same as US not counting losses. Europe itself sent more than 1/3 of all of its weapons as aid (!) This would be equivalent of Russia invading US and US managing to invade it back if oceans dried up and there was land bridge. Would Russia be pathetic for being able to take and hold large chunk of US? As for Mexico - do they even have air defenses? Canada does not have a single air defense system other than hand held stuff and air force... Russia is doing excellent thanks to preparation. It took them years to prepare. They correctly calculated what the west can do, what west can send and they planned for it. This is why Russia is able to make more artillery shells than entire west combined even including Japan and South Korea. This is why Russia can make more missiles than entire west combined. This is why Russia can make more tanks than entire west combined... I think you get the picture.

@PhysicsGamer Czehia sent around 60% plus of all their weapons. Same for Baltic states. I know it sounds ridiculous but its a fact. Poland sent about half of its tanks. Russia did take initially large parts of Ukraine but could not hold them without mobilizing - something Putin refused to do. To expect Russia to take whole Ukraine, country larger than France, in few days is a joke when you realize they are using their regular army and just over 100k at that. Anyone whom believed that is an idiot. Clearly US government has plenty of rather retarded people in it. I think people don't realize Ukraine was very well armed - as I stated - it had massive stock pile of weapons from Soviet times and a sizable army. It also had multi layer defenses in the east built since 2014. Russia just few weeks ago finally passed the last 2014 defenses. For 2023 offensive west sent Ukraine around 10,000 vehicles of different types. 10k. Let that sink in. Russia is doing way, way, way better than expected anywhere in the west - what was the quote from idiots in US - "I cannot wait to see their tin can army crushed" - guess it was not tin can army after all...

Of course and now Ukraine realizes its mistake and redeploys from Kursk....

Maybe he sees an image of the comic

@hummingbirdman correct.
1
And now leaving them for Putin as they run away from the region. Massive losses for what???
1
Who cares. Ukrainians gambled and lost now moving troops away from Kursk. Putin won.
1
@williamlloyd3769 Russia used lancets to destroy a lot of UA trench digging machinery and thus now most UA trenches are done by hand.
1
@alexiskiri9693 it is certain. The question is when. Same as with chasiv Yar, it will eventually fall.
1
Lol 😂😂😂😂
1
Relax. Ukrainians already re deploy from Kursk to save Pokrovsk signaling operation failure. They gave up only after a few weeks!!!
1
@marcdc6809 it shows Russia is run by the military whom think.
1
@Alexander-yb1zc no, you are correct. Also Russians when they are stopped in one place attack another. The Russian war style may be boring but it leads to victory.
1
@Katobase-u6t it's not possible. Russia has too much world support.
1
@FerroEquus-262 yeah and western ideas have not changed since then.
1
@sszorin lol yeah. Sure. Ukraine is getting more than double the aid Soviets got.
1
Russia sent reserve troops and stopped any progress as well as started counter attacks and regained lines. Ukraine created a dilemma for itself with Kursk failed attack. Ukraine now is moving troops away from Kursk. Well played Putin. As usual.

@chairde umm, right. And pigs fly.
1
@chrissheppard3023 Ukraine has a plan??!
