  1. True, Russian army is no match for Soviets, but easily a match for Ukraine. There are more Russians participating in Vostok exercises then Russians deployed in Ukraine (!)

  4.  @xavierg8985  Russian terms were to only transfer to Russia territories with majority Russian population that do not wish to live under Kiev. Also these territories were transferred from Russia to Ukraine during Soviet times - thanks to certain Ukrainian descent Soviet leader. Shows you why transferring land between provinces is dangerous even in the same country.

  5. Problem is that Russia reduced Ukraine heavily. The troops in the river bridgehead are attack with air power and artillery a lot. Their pontoon bridge is out. They are trapped and killed every day.

  6. Yes, so far Russians denied Ukraine any chance to push them out beyond the river. Its a PR war as well - If Ukraine takes Kherson it would mean Odessa is safe and huge PR victory. But Russia is way too strong for Ukraine to have any success.

  8. What Russians have is maneuver defense. When Ukrainians attack - Russians counter attack & push them out and go back. To counter this Ukraine tries to attack in multiple places. To counter that Russians move more troops. Net result is huge losses for Ukraine.

  11. Not at all. Russia has steady supply as well. I do question steady supply for Ukraine - where are they getting their ammo for 152mm and 122mm guns??? They run out of tanks and APCs and are using ex Polish stuff as well as some strange western mods of M113.

  12.  @JuanPablo-en9jk  Why they cannot cross the river - there are Russians on both sides. Just cross and deliver supplies.

  13.  @JuanPablo-en9jk  You can build a pontoon bridge overnight. You can use trolley cables. You can use a chopper to move whole loaded trucks. You can use ferries which are still available (and can get more). Finally you can waterproof all light armor and it can swim across. You can use single pontoons to float trucks across. I am sure 10 more different ways.

  14.  @TheGeeoff  Russia advanced today in Zaporozia and took two towns. Well, one is more like a tiny village. Russia also used air superiority and artillery to hammer Ukrainian positions in Kherson - river bridgehead ensuring that troops there will swim home soon as their last pontoon bridge was blown up. Forth pontoon bridge.

  16.  @thetruthhurts7675  Ukraine got 1 town of 4000 people in the north and one tiny village next to it. They are pushed out from one crossing across the river where they still hold 5 villages, 3 of which they took during the offensive. In a week Ukraine will be down to one small town and 1 village, maybe less. At the same time Russia took confirmed, Kodema in Donbass. Russia also took two villages in Zaporozia and attack from Kharkiv. Above just from today.

  19. Why sadly - it is great - it will slow down Russian attacks in Donbass. Sadly is mostly b/c Ukraine has no fuel and they will burn down whole forests to keep warm.

  23. Well, we have maps and some videos. Lets just say Ukraine had only limited success in north of Kherson. In center they are being pushed out. All other attack failed.
