Nah, much easier would be to apply EU values equally in say Baltic states, making democracy there would allow local ethnic Russians be treated as humans. It's hard to explain to your own that you need to fight for justice when justice is already there. I.e. EU has to follow its own laws.

@golddigger8759 nah, and what will they exactly do against Russian defensive mine fields? Most of these nations have weak offense. Russia has nothing to worry about these. The main problem is missile sites, but even these are not such a big deal as Baltic are actually closer. Finland essentially is of little problem for Russia.

This guy is such an idiot. Why would Russia invade any part of Finland, specially in the north? Why? Why even test there anything? Why? How to even do it? Lol. Also NATO may react as commitment is low. Article 5 is hot air as it is super weak. It is mostly based on US political will. Also why this guy talks about Russia, not Russian block, majority of humanity.

@hydrolifetech7911 LOL, you may read about this some more. They have this special system in Latvia and Estonia where you have a non citizen passports ;) They were afraid that if they given ethnic Russians a right to vote after 1992 they may vote "wrong way" - so much for democracy. Before the whole 2014 Russians in the Baltics won numerous cases against host countries - ethnic Russians were denied things such as old age pension based on ethnicity. Geneva human rights tribunal cases were won by these people... well until 2014 that is. "even refuse to get Baltic countries citizenship documents crucial for employment and benefits" - LOL - again they were not given these - they were denied citizenship in Estonia and Latvia BUT not Lithuania. There is plenty about it on the internet and you can even see original cases pre 2014 when Baltics lost in EU courts. Of course what is happening there is total violation of EU own laws but somehow everyone looks the other way. In some border areas ethnic Russians make 90%+ of the population but they are denied the right to open a Russian language school. How is that for EU "freedom" and "democracy"? How can anyone who sees this be pro these racist pigs? How can you?

@LuckyPkerz No, last time I checked denying old age pensions / denying language or cultural rights etc. was against EU rules and laws. Not to mention the non citizen passport idea that is abomination on this planet.

@ggwp2797 Russian minority should have same rights as any other minority in EU. For example, same rights as Turks have in Germany. I am simply asking that Russian minority be treated equally - and as per EU laws. You disagree. If you suddenly agree with me you will be a Russian troll and will have to start watching different channels - or come here mostly for comical relief and as observance of ignorance among people.

@tekha1977 Finland lost all wars against Soviets and had to sue for peace multiple times. I.e. Fins are no match for Russia.

It is however interesting, that both Estonia and Latvia are seeing excuse of an invasion next door - or say Kosovo, yet they simply cannot help themselves to be evil. Also no one in EU does anything to "deal" with the problem. You can clearly see the level of "caring" for people here - or say in Palestine or Iraq or anywhere - the level is low or non existent.

@LuckyPkerz LOL, check out EU cases - its there ;) Heck I even watched interview with the old lady in English - it was a long time ago, before 2014. I am sure now its much, much worse.

You are like Germans in 1943, when someone tried to convince them that Jews are human too... you point out that the person is sick with allied propaganda ;) If you have any logic in your bones you know I speak the truth - same as these Germans in 1943 knew Jews are humans. @viliusm.8232 Why they are not citizens already??? Well, why not??? Why they did not get their citizenship right away? Why were they prevented and how was it possible to prevent them. They only way was to exclude people based on ethnicity. There is no other way. Is this Europe? Like free one? No.

@13thmistral you do know Turkey and Greece are enemies, do you? It is far more likely Russia would come to Greek aid than Turkey. If US stops its police Greeks need to be nicer to Russia to gain some protection.

This is mostly to scare people into paying more taxes. There is small chance of war between east and west. It is clear NATO will loose any war, no matter what they do. So why invest if nukes are the equalizer. So why invest into a certain, unlikely loss? Note Russian side has bigger advantage over NATO than allies had over Nazi. Huge population advantage, more than 2 to 1 and huge economic advantage, more than 2 to 1. I would vote to stop any needless military spending. Also the small country is protected is total BS, look at US dictating to little guy.
