Russia (as is US) is about keeping the balance. Russia would not allow China to fall - without China Russia would be a bit... alone.

@pratikmohite6202 Russia - India arm deals have very long tradition. China is main competitor to Russia's arms sales. This does not mean geopolitics is affected - its just one little business - how about 100 of billions spent on oil and gas from Russia to China? Not so much to India.

@wunhonglee8952 If you ever go to parts of former Soviet Union you will realize that for Russia breakup was one of the best things that could happen. Russians had to work very hard to keep others fed. Even Putin fully acknowledges this and has no ambition to take over any poor countries - even when asked (!).

@tarun_6864 Since 2010 China is the largest trading partner of Russia, surpassing Germany. China is about 6x bigger trading partner for Russia then India.

@tarun_6864 I was in Pamirs twice and neither one was in Russia. These two republics have lots of issues - China is least of their problem.

@tarun_6864 Not very big actually - trade has been decreasing now for over a year. So far this year it accounts for 280B (both ways) and was about 450B last year. Which is just over half of US - EU trade. EU deficit with US is the same as US deficit with China. Just got to show how one sided US is.

Given that CCP economy in PPP is bigger then that of US and given that China is one of few countries that has no modest economic growth how on earth will US ever starve China?

@Misaka_Complex And how do you want to disrupt that trade system - most of the trade is inside China. Big portion is with EU and Russia that are friendly with China to offset US dominance - i.e. the interest of the world is not for US to win.
