  1. They should given them some basic training to be more effective militia. Gun safety so they don't shoot themselves. They also should get old anti tank weapons & be deployed as light infantry in the most mountainous regions as there are no cities. In hard terrain they will face enemy infantry so they are not as hopeless as many on here think.
