  1. Crossing Dniepr for Ukraine would be a suicide. They can send commandos or DRGs but crossing with armor would be idiotic as they have no way to support logistics for these. Russia would be very happy with such outcome as they could give Ukrainians major losses.

  2.  @Baffuteagle  Actually smallest point is 800m and after that there are two smaller rivers in many places - basically marshy islands. In the north its more like over 10km wide lake. I.e. attacking here is almost as bad as crossing English channel. Even if your light infantry crosses and sacrifices itself then what? Your armor crosses and now, with poor logistics you think you can push enemy back when last year Ukraine could not push Russia out despite situation that was almost totally reversed? Someone in Moscow would need to do an epic mistake for this to work.
