@Cornellzz12 So what - Russia is taking land slowly in areas where they want to take it. Loosing "extra" land is of only PR - and Russia cares little about PR - I mean they moved out of Kiev in 1 day not caring about what pp say. They do not care if some will call them cowards or weak. They just do cold military decisions. Finally Russia's costs in last 2 months have been next to nothing. So maybe they are planning to run this war for years, many years.

@timknight2834 It has plenty of allies. What do you think Ukraine has allies? Like whom? Except maybe Poland, who is their allay? As soon as war with Russia is gone they have no allies.

I wonder why Russians for at least a month now, since Lisichiansk are doing very little and are just in the defense. Are they simply waiting for winter? Russian advances in Donbass are super slow. Front lines are manned by like no one. Why would they do this - do they want to draw Ukrainians into the open?

Remember the massive gains Russia did at the start of the war? That is how. Also large numbers of troops. I am wondering WHY Russians pulled so many troops from Ukraine. What is the reason for this?

@Mandolin_Rain So whom is on exercises in Asia? Ghosts? Who surrendered? Why we do not see these pp - did Ukraine Nazi kill them? Russia won the war - the fight right now is how much Russia won.

I think Russia is just bleeding them out in these fights for little gain in land that Russia does not care. I cannot really think of any other reason. Why Russia moved so many troops out - why no heavy attacks in Donbass after Severdoneck offensive? Its like the suddenly stopped. Dima said "front is collapsing" like 100 times and nothing.

@ragnarthegr842 Same just cause. Just in reverse. Both sides are dying for their land. This is why the war is stupid. They simply should get land of where they live. I.e. Russians get Russian land and Ukraine get UA land. Thus I have no idea why Ukraine wants to fight in Donbas. Zero idea.

@kirillb369 If that was true they would not have current tactics of bombarding each town till its flat. They would send troops in, and whatever dies, dies. Eventually they win. Russia today cares more about its troops then US! (!!!) Also reported deaths of Ukrainian generals suggest they switched back to Soviet style command. Finally where are Russians? Look at the map - where are they! I cannot see to many of them. There are probably more Russians now on exercises in Asia then in Ukraine. The #1 question is - why? Not even Asia - they even had exercises near Moscow - so troops that should be in Ukraine - I mean they are close.

@Cornellzz12 Maybe. So next regime will take over & continue the fight. Russia won this war - in the worst case they have to mobilize and then start using tactical nukes. Eventually Ukraine runs out of people.

@mattmccaughen8082 really, where is it? There are no Russian forces in most of Kharkov. I guess DPR will need some help or they just move out. They can have smaller buffer zone.

@Cornellzz12 Umm, so far Ukraine failed to take even 1 sq km back of Donbas. There are no plans to take any back. Russia and allies are moving forward. What imperialistic war? They are fighting for land where Russians live and should be Russian. Why would Russian people not fight for Russia? Why are Ukrainians fighting for Ukraine? You are silly. Also Russian doctrine clearly states defense of Russia is acceptable use of nuclear weapons. Finally, Ukraine clearly lost the war. They are unable to take territory back and have no taken any back. Taking some land in and around Kharkiv or taking some land near or around Kherson just decreases Ukrainian loss.
