  1. There is no strong opposition in Russia. Part of the problem is that Russians are mostly republican, like say in Texas. Part of the problem is the bright shining light of Putin. It is hard for anyone to outshine him. Of note is the fact that US produced Biden and Trump. Main pressure point is 87% landslide is rare, there should be far more resistance.
