  1. Just to give some context. Polish forces, in their defensive positions, with about a single battalion, resisted TWO German division for roughly 3 days - about 80:1 German advantage. Belgians given their fortress up manned by two battalion to a German force of three companies (!) after few hours of "resistance" loosing 10 times as many killed (!!!) - defenders had 2.5 : 1 advantage. Well, not with Belgian soldiers in their defense.

  2.  @joebombero1  Poland over first 3 days did capture some German land - I do not recall anyone being executed. It was not mentioned in any books I read about such taking of land. It was very short lived and Germans pushed Poles out quickly.
