  1. This was one of the greatest victories of airborne troops and lead the allies to create their own large paratrooper units. Despite being outnumbered 2 to 1, despite not having surprise and despite allies fortifications paratroopers prevailed! Also allies suffered almost 4x the casualty number (!!!) Compare it to Market Garden - Germans did very well and as usually did not do proper post op analysis.
