  1. UA forces are taking a massive beating as they failed to realize that they lost. Even if they have tiny gains eventually it is clear there is around zero chance of penetrating Russian defensive lines. So what is the point of attacking if they know there is no chance of gaining offensive objectives? This is total PR where any gains will be spinned as victory.
