  1. Use of the nukes will be the last resort - once door are open, hard to close. US aid and other EU aid may push Russia towards that equalizer. Also once that happens there will not be any more "sanctions" or diplomatic pressure" - only thing EU will be able to do with US in tow is to enter now nuclear conflict. All their aid will be nuked as soon as it crosses the border.
