One ship definitely sunk or scrapped. I do not think there was much ammo on that ship - it was docket yesterday and unloaded. If it was fully loaded with ammo you would see some... fireworks - note what happened in Halifax when ammo ship exploded - 1000 dead and half of the city blown off. So I don't think this is even close. The other two ships are fine, minimal damage probably from debris falling on them. This is why they put out fires quickly. Overall embarrassing for the Russians - it could be b/c of news coverage of the ship which was geo-located - so bad OPSEC.

Your guess makes sense about future attack. But I am sure Ukraine will not give in easily. The ship sunk was of low value - its more of embarrassment value & PR value. Any confirmation on Mariupol flag on admin building? Is Izium really taken?

@DefensePoliticsAsia yeah, even low tech Tochka U can eventually get through. When US intercepted Saddam's missiles also one got through and killed over 30 people in barracks. It happens. But most people have memory span of like 2 weeks. No one remembers that US also had similar mishaps.

@DefensePoliticsAsia Yeah I also think its a bit ... to early. Maybe we should defined city taken as one where there are no snipers that can blow your head off. That will take a while. Mostly liberated is when you can drive around without RPG taking your APC out. Your report state they just entered AzovStal - so still long way to go! At least few days. Its still uber fast. People don't understand how fast this is - short memory. Russians are like beating records or something. And people still laugh at them.

@gj1234567899999 The ship on fire is gone. Two others superficial damage. I think Odessa operation, if ever even planned for real is long ways off.

Its super old. I doubt they do anything other then scarp it. It was probably scheduled to be scrapped next year anyways. Its a miracle its even in active fleet... I mean was.
