  1. Nah, not with amount of supplies for today's army. This is OK for little fire fight or for small force, but not for 2000 people. They need like 10t of food alone (and water) for this force per day. Besides, on both sides you would need trucks to wait for hours to be unloaded and an easy target. Finally ammo - many tons per day.
