  1. Acts of desperation when you do not have artillery. The question is of effectiveness of such weapon. The warhead is now heavier - not designed for such extra weight. The actual sleeve fragmentation capability seems very low - something out of WWII. Self detonation was never meant as a mechanism that is precise - not even close - it is a safety mechanism that is designed not to leave live ammo after conflict ends on the battlefield.
