  1. Traditional role of Canada is peace making. However, due to terrible FP of our current government Canada is seen as just an extension of the US. Hence why there never was any chance at UN seat - US already has a seat, no need for two. Same here, even Turkey attempted to play mediating role. But not Canada - we are content with playing no role at all.
