  3. Putin made it clear after a month of war what he wants. All territories that do not want to be part of Ukraine to not be part of Ukraine. Problem is that after some success on the battlefield and looming total victory I doubt he would easily be persuaded to go for the same deal. Now he wants more land as security / payment for conquest etc. As for Ukraine, it is lead by a comic with heavy Nazi influence so they need to loose all their troops before they can surrender. But at that point they will not have any power in any negotiations.
