  1. Either they are higher or lower. Neither is a good thing for current situation. Higher would force them to act. Lower would force Indian hand.

  2. I been to the area last year. India has a lot of bases in the area but all is very, very primitive. Road infrastructure is ... almost non existent. They need to stand firm but de-escalate. Chinese quickly gathered whole battalion at the scene and outnumbered India 10 to 1. When I was there I remarked that India's military bases mostly serve as targets for Chinese & the number of bases is aimed at forcing China to run out of ammo. India needs to stop yelling patriotic slogans and modernize the area - start with roads. Indian army needs better equipment.

  3. Most likely Chinese casualties are low. They have far better local infrastructure and were able to quickly outnumber Indians few times over. I.e. they amassed battalion size unit ultra quickly. Releasing these numbers would force India to act. Reports are that China gained land.
