  1. This is how Vancouver works - people somehow get a loan last year for say 1.4m. This year they are selling for say 1.8m. After some fees and stuff say they clear 300k. All b/c someone gave them a loan and they just sit on it. In Canada there is no tax on primary residence so 300k income... tax free. Who wants to work? No work required - money comes out of thin air - but for how long?
