@janhermanvanman9581 Most Ukrainian tanks were destroyed. I have seen Ukrainian tank taken out by Russian tank. Don't buy into "huge Russian losses" hype. If their losses were so high indeed they would have been loosing the war not rolling on. During the first 2 days they made a huge leap and its normal for 10% of equipment, especially this old, to break down and be abandoned. Most of it is later recovered and fixed. Even a lot of knocked out stuff will be fixed - unless simply not worth fixing & then melted down.

@georgea5991 Neither do Russians. Russians started the campaign with roughly same # of tanks as Ukraine did in front line service. They also utilized about 300 aircraft not 3000. So tank wise its 1:1. Russia also supposedly has disadvantage 2:1 in numbers, i.e. for each Russian attacker there is at least 2 Ukrainian defenders, based on posted #s.

But are they Russian T-72As or Donbass T-72As? "Russian" seems to be fluid. Also are there really so few units you have seen so far indicating only about 150k Russians and 50k militia forces?

@georgea5991 Remember that Ukraine has the largest army in Europe, and has the biggest tank core in Europe (by far) and has even one of the largest air forces (or had) and has the most APCs and has the most anti air assets etc. And yet they are being defeated.

@andies9817 It does in Europe (wholly) by a wide margin. Look at other European countries. Does Germany have larger army? No. What about say France? Nope. Poland? No. There is no one bigger then them. Ukraine army officially had around 250k plus 50k. Germany has 183k, Poland 160k they are not even close. Well farmers are no longer so happy. Russians are recovering all tanks and as punishment either taking farmers equipment and destroying it. I bet this farmer stuff will end very, very quickly.
