Comments by "" (@tomk3732) on "Ukraine War: 'Russia has lost a third of their ground forces in Ukraine'" video.
They cannot push Russians out of Kherson - they tried multiple times. Russia may move out by themselves once they finalize new border - they are now resurrecting old Russian empire province, that is on the river.
3
Now continue that line of thought. If Russia lost half of its army yet they continue to advance, how much did Ukraine loose?
3
So what are Ukrainian losses? 60%? Many brigades are battalion sized or smaller - so must be at least 60%.
3
Russian proposal to give up Crimea and Donbass is dead. Now Ukraine has to give up more for any chance at peace.
2
And yet they managed to cause Donbass defenses to collapse! Amazing job, so few, yet so powerful!
2
At current rate whole Donbass salient will collapse in like few days. Maybe Ukraine should work on that first ;)
2
Soon we see 50% and then 66%. By end of summer it will be 110%
2
But Russians are moving deeper and deeper every day. New villages and towns are falling.
2
20k - 30k KIA plus 3x as many wounded.
2
Ukraine losses are at least 2x Russian losses.
2
Why? Most hard core Ukrainians already left. Most residents that stayed are pro Russian.
2
@rockrabbit253 Negative, they have not lost any territory in about a month in Donbas. Every day they move only forward.
2
Well, soon we say "was".
1
Umm, they are loosing so far.
1
About 500. Russia holds well over 2000 Ukrainians.
1
@stephenclues2948 Who will pay these? Ukraine or Russia or EU or US? And by what right?
1
@stephenclues2948 Oh, so US owns then more then its worth.
1
I would be surprised if Ukraine would hold on to Donbass by August. By that time I expect new Russian offensive, I am guessing Zaporozia.
1
Drones? Maybe if they get something better then TB2.
1
We see later on. It would certainly be tragic for Ukraine to loose access to the sea.
1
Which ones? Well, name them.
1
What regions? Name them!
1
Sure, as will be Russia.
1
Ukraine has lost between 20k to 30k killed in action, about 3x as many wounded and over 1000 tanks destroyed. This is in addition to 1000s of other vehicles, 1000s of artillery pieces etc.
1
@rockrabbit253 LOL, if Russia cannot sustain it, why Russia picked this method of fighting?
1
@mrsnrub282 Ukraine lost so much equipment west would need to give like half of their to account for these losses ;)
1
We seen like dozens of attacks there by Ukraine with no result. Ukraine also failed to cross the river multiple times. I doubt they do much there - Russians will continue to slowly gobble up Donbass.
1
@SurfinScientist Same river, from the Kharkiv side. Russians taken out pontoon bridges with air strikes.
1
Short answer, they are not loosing as many troops as this show claims. Also Ukraine is loosing at least 2x as many.
1
But they continue to gain ground?
1
Certainly, they be defeated in only annexing part of Ukraine, not all ;)
1
So if Russia has lost a third of their army in Ukraine how big are Ukrainian losses?
1
@ADZ01982 I usually look at what UA general staff posts about Russian losses and assume they are talking about their own - a good estimate.
1
Certainly it shows now - they know how to properly surrender and have good conditioning in moving backwards.
1
Annexed by whom?
1
Things would need to go badly for Russia - so far they are winning the war so no need.
1
Lose what, certainly not the war ;)
1
they cannot replace what they lost - for about a month now.
1
They are first dealing with Donbass - maybe then Odessa or other target. One at a time.
1
And due to their luck of logistics they are now able to cut off Ukrainian forces in Donbass. Something does not add up here.
1
Nah, they can use the road more to the south. I fail to see why they need to use the road right next to the river. Also all roads in the salient are now less then 15km from any Russian artillery - so quite close.
1
Not according to the map. Well outside of artillery range.
1
@orlock20 Russia has shown they can replace the losses, but Ukraine, for about a month now, cannot say the same.
1
@GoblinFM If Russians were so inept, please let me know how on earth they could be attacking heavily defended positions held by 2x or more Ukrainians. Please, would love to know.
1
LOL, Putin would love that - once they enter Russia he can use over 100k troops that have conscripts in them. Essentially doubling his army.
1
Sure, maybe they should first try to make sure they don't loose half of their country to Putin.
1
@NesseratiousChannel Who uses Oryx? Look at some videos where they show UA losses. Oryx never shows these.
1
Yes, and imagine that tiny force that is left just forced collapse of whole Lugansk front. These few Russians still alive must be Rambo types!
1
Yes - it was a honest moment - but not good for Trump as he is in the US. I do not think it was genius due to timing - I would have attacked say in summer, June of 2021. Not towards end of winter! Putin's timing was simply strange. But other then that, like economic war calculus, were excellent.
1
its so called "inconvenient truth".
1
they did shell some villages and killed at least one boy.
1
and imagine they are so good they still manage to push forward!
1
And yet they made whole Lugansk front collapse - not bad for immobile troops!
1
No. Rocket range max at 45km. Like half of what Ukraine has right now.
1
@davidpowell3691 Also its industrial heartland and richest area.
1
@Muzakman37 I speak the truth - whatever someone likes it or not. I like freedom and will stand up for it.
1
@kovacevic6870 But conquered territory is friendly!
1
That is how they are "loosing" - they control too much of Ukraine and then ... they choke on it :)
1
So far Ukraine failed at even small counter attacks unless they have huge man power advantage. Once Russians take over these Donbass defenses I doubt Ukraine will ever have offensive power to take it back.
1
@r.j.dunnill1465 LOL, and do pray if Oryx numbers are true, why are Russians on the offense! I counted well over 100 captured Ukrainian tanks on Russian videos, probably closer to 150. Where is Oryx on this?
1
Why would they do that ;)
1
LOL. That is proper response to this myth. LOL.
1
So how are these combat infective units doing it that they are moving forward now, rather swiftly? Magic?
1
No will to fight yet they went over some of most fortified land on earth. Russians are... strange. God forbid, they have will to fight, they may take all of Europe!
1
Collapse? They been moving forward every day in Donbass - its Ukrainians on constant retreat that are about to collapse.
1
@ArchOfficial Why? Artillery smash - troops move it. Ukraine has over 2 to 1 advantage.
1
Maybe, but Ukrainian defenses in Donbass just collapsed - so I guess they been closer to that edge.
1
Yeah, I am sure 4x as many Ukrainians that "escaped" Kiev regime will do the same in Russia, right?
