  1. The plan is huge but it is just negotiation gimmick - they made it huge so there is a lot of room to drop. People will not be able to handle such a huge expensive bill as presented - especially given the load will be on the middle class alone. Maybe if they went after the rich it would be a bit easier, say EU tax on anyone with net worth over a billion or something like that.
