Meng case is classic example of JT having no brain what so ever unless it deals with scandals such as WE. One should work a bit harder to ensnare Canada. This case exemplifies how enslaved Canada is to a US master. 100% political case making mockery of Canadian justice system. JT should have immediately deflected it and made US work a bit harder.

Countries have interests only, no permanent friends. US interests now may be to get closer to China - if that means Canada under the bus so be it.

There was never any "law" involved - JT told new, gullible justice minister what to tell the judge as far as ruling goes. Same as in China PRC told judge what to do with two Canadians. Exactly same process.

LOL why would US pay to Canada? They claim jurisdiction all over the world and kidnap people using international law as a toilet paper and you want... compensation? How will you may US pay that compensation - maybe sanction them?

Why she would not walk? The deal does not include some Canadians in China - I am sure they eventually get released - maybe Canada can beg US for help.

Well so far US is richer then China and gives us at least internal freedom - feels better then some countries under Chinese thumb. Why you want us to give us better deal? Lets negotiate.
