  1. God created gays and lesbians so whom is the Pope to question what God did? There is no spot in the Holy Book where either gays or lesbians are clearly seen as evil or sinful. Given that when the Bible was written homosexualism was not seen as a sin I would be surprised if the Bible reflected different view.

  2. Its about money in Roman Catholic church - priests used to be rather wealthy - frequently from noble families. If they had kids it would go to them not to church. It was wrapped around "serving only God" idea - but reformation refuted that claim.
