  1. Maybe going full in on scrapping all independence was a step taken too quickly but removing some of the stone age laws regarding property ownership were long overdue. Same with separation of Ladekh as a separate area - this should have been done like 50 years ago. As far as "freeing" Kashmir CNN has to realize that such move is synonymous with support for "freeing" Crimea and other areas with majority Russian speakers - large parts of the Baltic, NATO member states, may also want to be set "free" - no? Heck, new way to grab land is to send your people there and make majority - maybe Texas should go back to Mexico or at least large parts of it? How about California? We need to balance right of self determination with the right of states to stay together.
