Or they call on the radio for help, which lays artillery fire on both UA vehicles followed by mechanized counter attack. Remember that now Ukraine is the one that has few people in a trench against Russian tanks and IFV - hence why UA forces are retreating and sufferings heavy casualties.

Nah, it is difficult to have 7:1 ratio - Ukies are not that stupid. Avoid fair fight, send 1000s of artillery shells, follow with elite troops like Wagner in first wave and than with mobiks in 2nd. Rinse and repeat.

@ChrisG1392 This is why you have conscription - it is a bit... forced. In Ukraine they basically grab you from say a night club. There are check points outside of a city so you do not run away to grandma. Once you are captured what choice do you have? Surrender to the enemy??? Run away is AWOL - big problems - but that is mostly the option you have. There is very little you can do - most countries outside of Ukraine are pro Kiev. Essentially its fight for survival - killing your own is not really an option as certainly you would be executed in some woods for it if they catch you. Joining the enemy? Also not really an option.

@ChrisG1392 But what about nasty Ukrainians that are just there to kill civilians? They just want to kill and are motivated by pure hatred. There are now whole brigades of these dudes.

@jazack7441 How do you know they did not do that??? I have no idea who spreads the BS of heavy Russian losses - you can go to BBC and they run mediazona and count every bloody grave in Russia. This was very popular in the beginning but now its not as there are so few graves while Ukrainian cemeteries are so full. So BBC quietly stopped reporting on their own project after 3 months or so.... BUT it is still run - so you can see Russian Federation losses delayed by about 2 weeks and super accurate. As for UA losses they are massive - you can also google that - simply look for "Russian artillery advantage" as most losses are caused by artillery. Right now Ukraine is badly loosing the war - if they try some counter offensive it will speed up the end so I hope they go for it - the bigger the better.

I saw a video of Russians attacking ONE Ukrainian in a trench with IFV and a squad. ONE. Similar tactics but they used 30mm to suppress the guy.

And this is why Russia is winning the war --- they have more equipment. They can attack Ukrainian defenses with these and mop defenders.

@linkharden7756 They are fighting for their home! Why you are glad - what if someone attacks you in your home? These were (or are) Donbass militia troops. Probably can see their home from the trench line.
