Relax, wars take time - look at US in Afghanistan - it took like 20 years for them to be finally defeated.

Ukraine has far more then 200k.

CNN ideocracy?

LOL, best option for Ukraine would be to seek peace. Chances of reclaiming Crimea + Donbass are zero. I.e. no chance at all. It is possible Russia may take whole right hand side of Dniepr River. This is why Ukraine should seek terms. Russia does not have / never had plans to take all of Ukraine.

@TheLapster Russia has right now about 80k+ combat troops in Ukraine. Plus max 70k for republics and other allies. So max 150k+ They have at least another 15k over the border in Russia. Possibly more.

@michakazik2268 So you going to ignore 30m monument build by current Ukrainian people to Bandera, 100+ other monument build in recent years, the fact he was made "Hero of Ukraine" 4 years ago, all the tiki torch marches, well over 10,000 Nazi units akin to SS in Ukrainian armed forces.... Nothing in common huh? These people were mascaraed and Ukraine today believes these murderers were heroes. Victims cannot be berried. No, today's Ukraine and her people are continuation of the same principles that lead to Wolyn crime.

But Russians are attacking when out numbered 2:1 and pushing Ukrainians off. For Ukraine to attack they need at least 4:1 preferably 5:1. If Putin does partial mobilization it would be 1:1 and Ukraine is toast.

@DrownedO God, no, losses are at least twice as high for Ukraine as for Russia. If Russia does not declare war on May 9th then losses could be 3x as high. This is from simple math - if we assume stalemate proportions need to stay constant to ensure that stalemate - so if we know Ukraine has 2x plus as many troops deployed as Russia they need to loose exactly 2x plus as much as Russia. Any other way and situation would no longer be stable. Ratio needs to stay the same.

Including these from Wolyn?

@gargamelvoeyt2137 EXACTLY! In Katyn people were buried, monument was erected, and people can come and pray for the dead. Wolyn? Nothing like that. In fact what you get is a monument to their murderer!

@EternalShadow1667 There is zero need and want for all of Ukraine. They did not want Kiev as well. You do not understand, in West Ukraine you have heavy Bandera presence - this is where Nazi come from. Any attempt to take that area would mean having to pacify Nazi for years. Right hand side of Dniepr and south Ukraine has large Russian presence. I.e. Russia can take a lot of land and there will be little opposition. I am not even talking about Donbass / Crimea where support for Russia by local population is like 80%. Heck, most of Russian force is from Donbass - they are doing most of the fighting. I expect few battalions to be taken up from Mariupol alone.

@ConservativeJuggaloPodcast Who started with 265? Ukraine started with just under or about 300k. Russia started with about 100k plus about 70k DPR / LPR / others. Russia lost over 3000 soldiers, DPR and allies at least 7000, probably 8000, total losses around 12000. Ukraine lost around 2x or more then that, roughly 24 - 28k. This is killed, multiply by 3 for wounded. Currently Ukraine has around 500k troops, but most of these are of low quality - militia forces. However, due to epic losses Ukraine passed law (I think in the last 48h) that militia will be sent to the front lines. With such high numbers Russia will have no choice but to mobilize. Their current deployment is over 80k Russians and less then 70k allies for total of at most 150k. Very few militia units have been deployed to the front, but Ukraine has no choice, some army brigades are battalion sized.
