  7. Front line is moving. Russia captured multiple villages in last few days near Kupiansk. Ukraine is loosing the war and the process is accelerating. Ukraine losses are unsustainable due to total Russian artillery supremacy.

  8.  @ppen8359  We have Russian losses - BBC reports on them - we have dedicated counting teams in Russia that count graves, newspaper reports, funerals etc. This army of people provides data on who died. Current losses are low, around 30 a day KIA. Indeed Russian total defeat of Ukraine offensive was for more losses per day - about 50 or so. However, clearly, Ukraine took at the time epic level losses of 100s KIA per day.

War currently is WWI style attrition where front lines do not move. Ukraine is running out of people and equipment while Russia has more of both every month. Its like saying Germany in 1944 did not loose the war yet - Or Germany at the beginning of 1918. It is clear Ukraine lost the war - same as Germans at these times. Main difference is that Germany in late 1918 there the towel early - sort of - after all her allies did it much earlier in the year. Germany in 1945 was more or less totally overrun. Which scenario for Ukraine you want? 1945 or 1918?

  25. Russian losses as per BBC are low - they are some of the lowest of the war right now - over past three months. This indicates Russia is moving forward slowly to save troops. Now why would anyone fight for Ukraine - they are the ones bleeding in vast numbers.

Ukraine mostly tries to use dumb missiles or artillery on population centers trying to target intersections etc. This caused 25 dead in Belgorod as artillery hit intersection and killed civilians in their cars. This will not really help Ukraine much - limited attacks on civilians are not a way to convince Russia to end the war - in fact now, as Ukraine is clearly loosing, they have no way to convince Russia to do anything. They only thing they help with is prop up support for Putin and justify the war.

One has to remember that Romania, Czechoslovakia and Hungary DID invade Soviet Union. Heck, Czechoslovakia even invaded Poland in 1939! I.e. your statement is not at all historically accurate - you should open any, even western history book, and actually read about WWII.

You can easily verify through say World Bank. Russia is: 5,326,855 Germany is 5,323,007 . At current Russian growth they should pass Japan rather quickly - as it is at 5,703,678 and falling while RF is growing at 3% or so per year. China is 30,337,137 While US is 25,439,700

There cannot be any win for Ukraine, such as regaining land as they are too weak now and future only means weaker. The war is over for them. For Russia what will they exactly win is the main question. As for ordinary Russians? Well, they can now buy expensive flats in Mariupol. Russian economy is booming. Russian economy is largest in Europe. Sanctions are meaningless as they are not implemented by Asia - which is the one that counts. Russian people will also have a sense of pride from winning major war as well as once again gaining on international global area sense of power - i.e. Russia is no longer weak regional power - Russia needs to be once again accounted for - this is important for ordinary Russians. Russian state will gain secure western border - no NATO means Russia is not constrained. Sure, Germany did not sign anything by Yalta conference but allies already planned post war order & signed deals. Did anyone sane though about "Germany has not lost the war yet - it has not surrendered and no peace treaty is in place -- so no one can talk about whatever they won or lost the war" no, such people did not exist - same as with Ukraine today.

  45. Ukraine tried that in their disaster offensive in the summer. They nicely assembled a column whole night. As they moved forward got spotted at night by artillery - total mess. Whole column was smashed to bits, massive loss of infantry. They did not try again.

It has not just large agricultural sector but also not as advanced (too many people), it also found a niche with driving goods between EU countries - i.e. Polish truckers. These two are main, but there is more. At the expense of Poland, EU is "helping" Ukraine. After all, cheap Ukrainian driver is ... cheaper than Polish driver. BUT, Ukraine is NOT in EU. Poland needs to take serious action against it - they are weak in Polish government - they should do more - like officially close the border under the law that allows such actions due to security concerns. Poland is BTW experiencing same issues as rest of central Europe - so its not just "Poland" issue - Poland is just biggest victim of this. Imagine if someone tried such thing in US! Or anywhere else on Earth.

Russia is #1 economy of Europe and fastest growing economy of Europe. Why would Russia go for NATO country - they have no interest there. Soviet Union however, joined the allies in June 1941, while Hungary, Romania and Czechoslovakia were still allies (or in the case of the last one partially occupied partially incorporated) of the Axis power. Once Germany marched into Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia these three joined the axis powers. Big chunk of Ukrainian SSR joined the axis powers as well. We cannot forget that Bandera, current Hero of Ukraine by act of parliament, was one of the most prominent Nazi of WWII.

Germany has far bigger problems to fry at home - their economy is failing while Russia passed them to become largest economy in Europe.
