Yet they are winning the war hands down. Did you see Ukraine counter offensive? At least Russians are not taking major man power losses and moving forward - cannot say the same of Ukraine.

@ppen8359 We have Russian losses - BBC reports on them - we have dedicated counting teams in Russia that count graves, newspaper reports, funerals etc. This army of people provides data on who died. Current losses are low, around 30 a day KIA. Indeed Russian total defeat of Ukraine offensive was for more losses per day - about 50 or so. However, clearly, Ukraine took at the time epic level losses of 100s KIA per day.

@robertfrancis7767 You must be American as you have no clue about modern combat. Russia and to some degree Ukraine has much better top protection than anything US or west has. What would active protection on tanks do and why almost no western tank has it???? Who invented active protection??? Oh Soviets did. Hull down? Are you insane? Anti-tank mines can be stacked and powerful enough to damage anti tank rollers on FIRST detonation. Usually they last 3. Seriously, rolling barrels with sand? You do know you need to design the front trawl and barrels would last only once no matter what. And then what - your tank with poorly designed front my only go backwards??? Russia looses just 30 people per day or so. If their tactics were so bad and terrible they would have lost far more - look at Ukraine for example of idiocrasy - now they need a 500k more - where did first 500k go? Russian losses as per BBC are low - they are some of the lowest of the war right now - over past three months. This indicates Russia is moving forward slowly to save troops. Now why would anyone fight for Ukraine - they are the ones bleeding in vast numbers.

Germany also won a lot of times in 1944 and 1945.

Ukraine tried that in their disaster offensive in the summer. They nicely assembled a column whole night. As they moved forward got spotted at night by artillery - total mess. Whole column was smashed to bits, massive loss of infantry. They did not try again.
