Her upbringing shows her relatives were never a part of the Civil Rights movement that taught us about BLACK PRIDE, We were never victims but warriors fighting for all the rights and freedom she now enjoys. I was living in the SOUTH and the reason Southern Democrats switched to the Republicans is because when blacks finally got the right to vote they voted all the WHITE Democrats out and put blacks in. Johnson was a southern Democrat but the Civil Rights movement changed him. I remember after Dr, King was assassinated, He ended one of his speeches with WE SHALL OVERCOME, My parents got the right to vote the same time I did. WHITES try to make welfare a BLACK thing when so many poor whites receive it especially in the southern states. Candace and Elder and those blacks like him like to spew rhetoric about blacks living in cities run by Democrats but failed to mention that the POOREST states in our country is run by REPUBLICANS .Supposedly there is more crime in black and minority areas because they are profiled and arrested more.
