Ukraine was a distraction for a Taiwan invasion, which would have been catastrophic for the US, if Swiss hadn't dropped sanctions hammer and scared the ccp off of helping putin out with splitting western forces.. lucky Zelensky didn't take the ride or Hawaii and California would already be established beachheads along with New Orleans. Biden was bribed to let it happen but nothing went to plan

@chrisr6749 laughable response, Germany had several opportunities to win the war regardless and no historian disputes this, furthermore, the lend lease help provided Russians their survival just as with Britain. The petro wars were about petrodollar use as a reserve currency, which allows your 40% boost to dollar purchasing power as reward for "keeping the peace" ie Saudis free from invasion by neighbors. Furthermore, without operation paperclip and Von Braun, you'd certainly be speaking Russian without ICBM technology or moon landings to convince the world to bet on your leadership, invest, and promote the dollar themselves.

Or China, which openly claim all of the Siberia, Vladivostok, as well as anywhere Ghengis visited (china claims Mongol history as its own, naming it the Yuan Dynasty)??? Provocation must be recognized by order of imminent threat, not empty propagandistic fantasies..

@chrisr6749 well of course I'm against an avoidable war with Russia, and even degreed in Russian language / studies, but once a traitor was installed in the WH and then Afghanistan went south, I knew it was coming. The world was relieved to see us waking up to the threat we ourselves created with our Walmart spending, even putin was excited to draw back against Beijing in the process.. but when we just let an obviously compromised election stand, while castigating the one guy leading the charge against the slave-state expansionist dictatorship threatening the world, even if he is an aresehole, that relief changed to justifiable anger and confusion, as close allies like Germany are thrown under a bus, and no one ever has reason to trust us again, the tanks roll in and we are stuck now, having to fight or lose dollar hegemony and world power status while we clown about narcissiticaly, further destroying all the soft power we'd garnered since WW2.. Sad!
