  2. Iraq was the fourth most powerful military in the world in 1991, it had state of the art anti aircraft systems and tanks etc from Russia, and was the first time since Vietnam there was a direct confrontation of peer equal equipment..

  3.  @morfeicheg  the Saabs may have Meteor missiles for air to air, they are ramjet and out range/perform the US AIM-X series, I wouldn't count them out, at all

  4.  @JohnnysCafe_  China's government isn't that super, and with 17 border disputes currently it doesn't seem too peaceful either, considering they claim Vladivostok and anything the Mongols visited, it is tough to see why Russia chose them as partners, but that's just what India, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, and the Phillipines are all saying, so I'm not sure WHO to believe.. what do you serve in your cafe?

  5.  @martynhopkins1350  wouldn't the fallout from European nuke strikes drift east with the earth's rotation, affecting Russia and China the most? That always confused me about the Cold War

  6.  @martynhopkins1350  but patterns are, it always blows East, on the "westerly" winds, and weather, rain, snow, causes it to drop quickly, poisoning water sources immediately for thousands of kilometers eastward, it seems counter-productive

  7.  @off6848  well, I didn't bring up the tug of war going on in Africa, South America, Cuba, the Arctic, and the "Stans" of Central Asia, in terms of China's claims overlapping Russia's in terms of imperial action, but even in Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Sudan, etc, they have competing interests openly discussed. India was an ally of Russians but seeing recent events, and Himalayan skirmishes involving many dead.. plus the Amur River Valley war with Russia was 1967, but occurring under the current Chinese regime
