@owenbradford9746 they can subsidize their way to industrial capacity, for sure, and their use of the greennew dealio transfer was an admirable effort, but their inputs will be threatened forevermore after their first hostility, as with Japan 80 years ago, and those ships are subject to the same changes in tech the Japanese faced back then, similarly their need for food and energy will be unmet rather quickly, and immediately with a few sabotaged actions. True of any nation, but particularly if you have no friends left before the fighting starts, and your geography can go from fortress to prison as quickly as theirs, or you have a population seething with anger due to mistreatment and historical divisions (more civil war casualties there than everywhere else combined). I don't call them a paper tiger, but its easy to see why that moniker is thrown about so casually, no?
