Ehhh, while reliant on technology, US tried opposite of Russians approach, using the "winning hearts and minds", however corruption took its toll and drone strikes were sometimes tragic.. if tech alone was issue, a MOAAB in each valley on the same day, boom.. non nuclear genocide in seconds and no more opposition (inside the country), for minerals.. but this is as China's been planning for decades, when the Afghanation rebels against THEIR imperial behavior (to be fair, China has been extracting all the afghan minerals since 2004).
