@jay_kay709 starliner will change intercontinental travel, much faster, enviro friendly.. it will allow material extraction in space for cleaner warless options, and can redirect an incoming asteroid before dinosauring us all.. plus imagine if soviets got to the moon first, but replace moon w mars and soviets w North Korea on meth

@markmitchell457 Reagan s Star Wars was final straw for USSR, and moonshot proved democracy could outcompete communist dictatorship, neither possible w shortsighted antiscience sorts w short term thinking. But thankfully US had engineering emphasis awhile , and stolen German rocket scientist s. Otherwise you'd be in a gulag today if lucky, and where's the dinosaur counterpoint.. never heard one yet

@markmitchell457 HAHHAH would you have a bridge, they're just a boondoggle waste of cash.. cash needed for plastic surgeries here, on this side of the river, and any perceived benefits of such transport engineering are just the lies of politicians and lobbyists taking mah tax money, and I don't care if my freedom depends on space assets, cuz assets r' fer asshats!
