  2.  @johnwilliam1837  It seems like Russia was a reluctant partner to China, but seeing candidate win in the US which had only one line of consistent campaign rhetoric, that Russia was the worst country on earth and must be stopped, he shrugged and chose the eastern team, though its unfortunate he speaks for 99% of his nation, most of whom would disagree.. just my opinion based on their cultural memory of Ghengis Khan associated with East (and Beijing does claim Mongol history as their on these days, calling it the Yuan Dynasty)..
