  1. When the universe appears extremely similar to the ganglia of a human brain, it can't be discounted. That said I think we are inside a black hole.

  2.  @Digital.Alchemy666  our universe began with a singularity, and its edge is an expanding event horizon that information cannot cross, accelerated by dark energy.. just an idea but look at time charts of both being formed, they look like a mirror image of the other.
