  2.  @bethgleeson844  .. From my own knowledge: The vaccines to be used in the UK (Pfizer) are of the mRNA type - a new technique that utilizes the cell’s own protein synthesis mechanism. I understand that this, and all other Covid vaccines, have not been trialed thoroughly and have been rushed through in record time - vaccine research and development usually takes years, and even then are not guaranteed to be completely effective or safe. I have a MSc in Molecular Biology, and from what I know, major Pharmaceutical companies regularly pay out millions in compensation to individuals and families injured or killed by vaccination (1 death per million is usually considered an acceptable level). If the chance of death from the pathogen is roughly equal to the chance of death from taking the developed vaccine, then the question needs to be asked whether it is viable at all to take such a vaccine. Pfizer and BioNtech have already had six participant deaths during their development of the vaccines. There are a number of growing reports from countries using these new vaccines that dozens of deaths have occurred soon after taking the vaccines. Couple this with the unprecedented move of the government to give these companies indemnity - i.e. no legal liability for death or injury resulting from these vaccines, and you can start to see my concerns. The risk of death from infection with Covid-19 for the over 80s (muddied by the presence of comorbidities) is about 1%, and drops off sharply with the under-65s - down to practically zero in the age group under-19s. So, again, is it worth the risk to take the vaccine? You might also want to hear what one of the leading research professors says about the vaccine causing sterility (at 01:46): https://youtu.be/IMAkFKprzRQ Another very worrying aspect is the amount of Doctors and leading epidemiologists whose videos are constantly taken down, or who are stonewalled, silenced and threatened when they want to inform the public of the same safety concerns. So, I ask myself, “Am I completely satisfied? Do I feel 100% safe in taking such a vaccine (because once I’ve taken it I can’t un-take it)?” And my answer is, “No”. X

  6.  @bethgleeson844  .. Thank you for your civil response, and let me assure you that I fully appreciate your viewpoint. However, if the histories of science and medicine have taught us anything it is that we must proceed with measured caution and not rush headlong into things and cut corners. I will continue to research all of these new vaccines for myself, and will now be watching carefully those who have already taken them (and in many cases have already suffered serious health impact events and even death) for further mid and long term side effects. In short, I will not be taking any of them for a good few years - if ever. And I would certainly not recommend that anyone else take them - I do not consider this as spreading fear amongst the dubious, but simply pointing out the very real and current dangers. Good luck.
