Russia takes the Donbas - which then votes to become part of the RF. 3. That was said about 36 hours before it all started. Now ask yourself why Russia started by taking out all of the military airstrips across the whole of Ukraine, as well as most of the military communications.

And their economy is still doing very well, especially in comparison to current western economies. More importantly, Russia has the resources to easily ride this out for years if needed. The UK/EU definitely doesn’t.
