  1. Japan dominates global automation. Around 45% of the value-added in the global automation and robotics sector is provided by Japan. China provides less than 1%. Tech-based solutions like this tend to be winner-takes-all. Japan is highly likely to be the winner here. China’s odds in this race are very slim.

Before being cut off, 45% of the value-add in the global automation/robotics sector was contributed by Japan, less than 1% was contributed by China. Even if you’re right about AI/productivity/humanity, China will be on the outside, looking in.

  4. Japan is by far the world leader in robotics. In the global robotics industry, Japan was responsible for more than 45% of the industry’s value-added as of 2019, the last normal year before covid. Germany was #2 at 10%, then there was a slew of countries at 2%. China was at less than 1%.

No one really knows, because the Hermit Kingdom is so secretive. I would guess that most women die in or from complications of childbirth.

  6. There is a full talk on India to an Indian audience available on YouTube. Basically, his analysis is that India will continue along on the same trajectory that it has been on. When most of the rest of the world is going down in flames, that makes India one of the big winners.

As a result, the vast majority of the overcount is in females which is of course even that much more disastrous towards any hope of population recovery.
