  1. I don’t know if you noticed what the little slot in the front bumper is for? It’s for a starter handle, if the battery is too flat to turn over the engine, you could turn on the ignition and crank over the engine with a starter handle. You had to watch your back because they could kick back but a bevelled ‘dog’ clutch prevented the engine from spinning the handle once the engine started.
