  2. I went to visit my friends Narrowboat “Away with the Faeries” when she was moored at Audlum near the Shroppie Fly last weekend and there were many historic boats from the Elsemere Port museum all moored up. It was lovely to have a mooch about and see some interesting boats.

Wow fascinating regards the fuel bunkers… a few of the sites have been visited by YT channels IKS explorer and Tom Scott very interesting to watch … seeing you going up to the Castle reminds me when myself and a few other naughty boys from Pensby Secondary School on the Wirral near Heswall. We had a school boat and we had a day out from Chester to Beeston and we wanted to see how deep the well was in the castle so we lit a load of hay and cardboard and dropped it down through the grating it lit the well shaft up for quite some way… seem to remember there is a bit of a dog leg in the well shaft …
