  1. Up until the end of the 90s the RAF used to have a base up the road called RAF Locking and it was home to the RAFs radio school. There used to be about 1000 trainees living there and about 300 service families and then in 99 the Gov decided it would all go and the camp shut, was sold off and like all the other green space was sold off as a massive housing development to supply workers for Bristol and London … but despite the addition of 1000s of new homes and all the extra revenue from local taxes and extra people boosting the economy… where has it all gone? It was a nice place not that long ago but now is an absolute shithole
